Job summary

Hamilton YMCA is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to help keep our facility clean, safe, and welcoming, including locker rooms and public spaces. You will perform daily cleaning tasks and support a healthy, comfortable environment for members and staff.

Responsibilities include following a daily checklist, mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, vacuuming, seasonal tasks, and reporting repairs or hazards to supervision. This role emphasizes attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents, and document work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the facility by completing the daily checklist.
• Perform duties such as wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, vacuuming, seasonal lawn care and snow removal.
• Record and report repairs as needed and report hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.
