Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a dependable Housekeeping Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning interior and exterior areas, restrooms, stocking supplies, light maintenance, and following safety policies.

This part-time role requires flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional housekeeping or custodial experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial, educational, healthcare, recreation, or fitness facility preferred.
• Basic knowledge of floor care, cleaning procedures and light facility maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior areas of the facility.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and sanitize restrooms.
• Stock and monitor housekeeping supplies; coordinate inventory with supervisor.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks and report issues needing attention.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and use PPE as required.
• Follow OSHA, YMCA safety policies and procedures.
