COMMUNITY ACTION, INC. of CENTRAL TEXAS is seeking a part-time Facilities & Maintenance Specialist. The role supports routine repairs, facility upkeep, vehicle coordination, and setup for events across Hays & Caldwell Counties.

The position requires a High School Diploma/GED, basic English communication skills, and knowledge of hand and power tools. Flexible, part-time schedule with occasional site changes and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of operation and use of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of methods, equipment and materials used in general maintenance work.
• Basic computer skills: Windows/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate emergencies with Head Start Operations Coordinator and communicate staff.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safety checks of agency vehicles and equipment.
• Refuel/check fluids and vehicle cleanliness as needed.
• Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment to identify repairs and report hazards.
• Move vehicles and furniture as needed and assist with set-up for events.
