Job summary

Ccawenatchee is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment. You will support the Facilities Director and mentor student workers as part of daily operations for 19 hours per week.

The role emphasizes reliability, proactive maintenance, and good communication in a faith-based setting, with responsibilities spanning custodial tasks, simple repairs, event set-ups, and coordinating student staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 years related maintenance/custodial experience.
• Self-starter who can identify cleaning/repair needs and take action.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces, on high ladders, and outdoors in varying weather.
• Tech-savvy enough to use Gmail, timekeeping, and work order apps.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
• Strong interpersonal skills in a faith-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Custodial & Care: routine cleaning, sanitizing, and waste management across classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Facility & Grounds Maintenance: minor repairs, change lightbulbs/HVAC filters, and assist with landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal.
• Event Setup: assist with room setups and tear-downs for events and meetings.
• Student Leadership: direct, train, and work alongside student workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
