Job summary

YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is seeking a part-time custodian/maintenance assistant to support facility upkeep under the supervision of the Facility Director.

You will perform cleaning, basic repairs, and assist with safety and janitorial tasks, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and staff.

This role focuses on hands-on maintenance, requires 18+ and background check, with opportunities for trainings and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Ability to go up and down stairs and perform physical tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, including their safe and efficient use.
• Preferred qualifications: custodial or maintenance experience in a public facility.

Responsibilities

• Support overall facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of YMCA equipment and spaces.
• Assist with janitorial services and respond to emergency repairs as needed.
