We are seeking a part-time Facilities Assistant to join our team for 19 hours per week. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our school premises, supporting our Facilities Director, and mentoring student workers. Key Responsibilities:
Custodial & Care: Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and waste management across classrooms, offices, and common areas.
Facility & Grounds Maintenance: Handle minor repairs, change lightbulbs/HVAC filters, work safely on high ladders, and assist with year-round landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal.
Event Setup: Assist with room setups and tear-downs for special events and meetings.
Student Leadership: Direct, train, and work alongside student workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
What We Are Looking For:
High school diploma/GED OR 1–3 years of related maintenance/custodial experience.
A self-starter who can recognize what needs to be cleaned or repaired and take action.
Comfortable working in tight spaces, off high ladders, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Tech-savvy enough to utilize web-based apps for email, timekeeping, and work orders (Gmail, uAttend, Upkeep).
A valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record (CDL preferred but not required); ability to run local errands and fuel vehicles.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously in a faith-based environment.
