Job summary

Tyler Junior College is looking for a part-time Proctor to support secure testing services for TJC students. The Proctor will enforce policies, monitor sessions, assist with exam startup, and coordinate with professors when cheating is suspected.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays. Experience in higher education and the ability to troubleshoot technology issues are preferred. Lifting and standing during testing may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot technology issues.
• Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be flexible for evening and Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Enforce testing policies and procedures firmly but courteously.
• Monitor students' testing sessions.
• Assist students with exam startup procedures and ensure access to exams.
• Coordinate with professor if cheating is suspected in absence of managers.
• Troubleshoot technology issues during manager/office coordinator absence.
• Maintain cleanliness of testing rooms.
• Perform other related duties as required.
