Job summary

Lone Star College seeks a dedicated Proctor to supervise exams in a secure setting, ensuring integrity and smooth testing experiences for students and faculty. The role emphasizes teamwork, ethical judgment, and strong customer service in a busy campus environment.

Responsibilities include welcoming examinees, delivering testing instructions, logging tests, and maintaining test security while providing administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Lone Star College students are not eligible to work in the Assessment Center as a Proctor due to test security conflicts.
• Any student enrolled in any undergraduate program are not eligible to administer CLEP exams or any exams related to their undergraduate program.

Responsibilities

• Administers exams and monitors students throughout the duration of the exams.
• Performs customer service functions, including welcoming students and providing testing instructions.
• Receives and logs incoming tests from instructors.
• Document delivery (return tests to instructors).
• Maintains tests in a secure environment.
• Makes sound, ethical judgments in regards to exam security.
• Performs administrative support tasks, including maintaining files and entering scores.
• Troubleshoot test errors and equipment failure.
• Other related duties as assigned.
