Job summary

City of Amarillo is seeking a part-time Civic Center Technical Crew member to assist with the setup, production, and breakdown of a wide variety of events. Responsibilities include moving and configuring stage components, operating sound and lighting gear, and ensuring a safe, clean venue before, during, and after events.

Work is as-needed, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in indoor and outdoor

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and teardown of staging, equipment, and event infrastructure.
• Support move-in/move-out of productions, concerts, and events.
• Assist with arena and Coliseum floor conversions for hockey, football, concerts.
• Install/remove dasher boards, glass, ice, turf, goals, padding as needed.
• Perform minor ice rink maintenance and related duties.
• Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of sound and lighting equipment.
• Help ensure equipment is safe and in good working order.
• Assist with building security, cleanliness, and venue maintenance.
