Allen County War Memorial Coliseum seeks a part-time Audio Visual Technician to assist in the setup, operation, and dismantling of AV equipment for events. You will support the Technical Manager of AV/IT Services by ensuring smooth technical operations and troubleshooting gear during concerts, sports, and meetings.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with related event production experience, and may require certificates in AV production.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED with three years’ experience in sports and/or event production or related field.
Certificates in AV production preferred
Valid Driver’s License to operate County owned vehicles
Knowledge of arena scoring equipment to troubleshoot problems and operate the equipment
Knowledge of AV production logistics to plan, prepare, and set-up productions appealing to clients and guests
Ability to work in a high stress environment with time constraints
Knowledge of electricity to pull cables, create custom video/data cables, and troubleshoot issues
Ability to work well in a team to complete tasks and goals given to the AV production team
Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during live productions
Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends to work events
Strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office and other job related software

Responsabilités

Assist in setting up, operating, and dismantling AV equipment for various events.
Support sound reinforcement and lighting setup as needed.
Transport and install media equipment such as speakers, monitors, and cameras.
Run preliminary tests on AV systems to ensure functionality before events.
Troubleshoot equipment issues during events to ensure smooth operation.
Perform basic repairs and routine maintenance under supervision.
Assist with programming and performing electrical wiring tasks as directed.
Collaborate with the Technical Manager of AV/IT Services to meet client needs for events.
Maintain positive relationships with clients and event organizers.
Coordinate with AV staff for timely setup and smooth operations.
Clean, organize, and maintain AV equipment; manage inventory.
Perform regular maintenance and software updates on AV systems.
Provide support for events including concerts, meetings, and commencements.
Work additional hours as needed.
