Job summary

Amarillo Civic Center Operations is seeking a Building Attendant I to support event setup and general cleaning. You will help prepare venues with risers, tables, chairs, and other equipment, assist clients with information, and maintain sanitary conditions throughout the facility.

The role requires ability to operate cleaning machinery, move heavy objects, and work evenings, weekends, and weather-related shifts. This entry-level position starts at $16.00 per hour in Amarillo, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Custodial/cleaning experience preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Erects stages and set-ups for events (risers, tables, chairs, etc.).
• Assists visitors with information and directions.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and spaces.
• Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors; maintains cleanliness of building areas.
• Performs basic maintenance and reports safety issues.
