Legends Global is seeking a Part-time Prep Cook for the Wilmington Convention Center kitchen. You will assist Executive Chef in preparing hot and cold items, label and store ingredients, and maintain sanitation standards.

The role requires two years in food service, ability to lift 40 pounds, and a reliable, customer-focused attitude. Irregular hours include nights, weekends, and holidays based on events.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to learn operation of all kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of safe health standards.
• Strong knowledge of sanitary practices.
• Ability to recognize and utilize weights and measurements, dry and liquid.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to identify and properly use all kitchen small wares.
• Ability to produce high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, customer service attitude always.
• Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
• Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains organized sanitary workstation at all times.
• Properly labels and dates food items for storage and sales.
• Assists in the preparation of cut vegetables, baked goods, proteins, and salads.
• Minimizes waste by controlling overage and usage.
• Follows approved recipes and production standards.
• Prepare all food for concessions as directed by Executive Chef.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
