Job summary

Ivy Living is seeking a part-time server at Ivy Park at Claremont, a premier senior living community. The role involves serving residents and guests in a friendly, courteous manner in the dining area and kitchen, with emphasis on accuracy and professional service.

The position requires must be at least 16 with a work permit, high school diploma, and a genuine interest in elder care. Training will be provided, and a background check with health screening is required.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB.
• Oakmont may require vaccination and PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, courteous manner.
• Take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down tables.
• Ensure proper serving techniques and etiquette.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
