Job summary

The Ivy at Berkeley, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Server to deliver friendly, courteous dining service in a senior living community. The role supports residents, families, and staff, and helps ensure a warm, respectful dining experience aligned with our values.

Experience is optional; training is provided. Must be 16+ with a valid work permit, HS diploma or equivalent, and strong customer service mindset. Health and safety screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques/etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
