Responsibilities

• Answers and screens all internal and external calls to the main hospital number and directs them promptly to the appropriate resource.
• Gathers information from callers for emergencies, including nature and location, and coordinates with emergency teams.
• Provides instructions to callers on handling situations until responders arrive.
• Collaborates with regional centers to ensure a unified response.
• Maintains paging system and on-call knowledge; enters call information in the computer system.
• Maintains detailed records of calls with date, time, location, and actions taken.
• Ensures high levels of customer service and confidentiality for all callers.
• Escalates issues to leadership when needed and supports service delivery recovery.
