Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Call Center Specialist to be the friendly, professional first point of contact for incoming calls from hospitals, referral sources, patients and families. You will probe to qualify calls and route them to the correct department, using an Admissions Coordinator talk track when needed.

Duties include documenting interactions in MS4 or other systems, handling high call volumes with quality service, and supporting Alumni Calls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates preferred.
• 1–3 years related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of patient rights and psychiatric/addiction treatment administration.
• Strong customer-service skills.
• Familiar with various computer software applications.
• Ability to diffuse tense situations and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Identifies callers' needs and refers to the appropriate party or uses Admissions Coordinator talk track.
• Answers phone calls promptly and transfers to the correct party.
• Documents caller interactions in MS4 or current software.
• Manages high call volumes while maintaining service quality.
• Facilitates Alumni Calls.
