Job summary

Riviera Beach House in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking a part-time Guest Service Representative to deliver exceptional service at the front desk. You will greet guests, handle check-in/out, manage reservations, and assist with guest inquiries daily.

The role emphasizes cash handling, clear communication, and teamwork with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

Must be available to work evening shifts, Friday-Monday.
Strong guest-service mindset with a friendly, courteous demeanor.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Greet arriving guests and complete established check-in procedures daily.
Assist guests with departures, balance charges, and close accounts after check-out.
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately at the front desk per company policy.
Answer inquiries and accept reservations via in-person or phone, communicate rates, and upsell where appropriate.
Maintain knowledge of in-house and area events to answer questions and assist guests.
Operate PBX for incoming/outgoing calls, wake-up calls, and guest communications.
Post and verify guest charges and maintain accurate records.
