Job summary

Rosewalk Assisted Living in Indianapolis is hiring a part-time Cook for the evening shift. You will follow menu cycles prepared by the Registered Dietitian and prepare nutritious meals for residents.

You will train servers on plating and presentation, supervise food prep and storage, and work with a caring team dedicated to residents' well-being. Prior kitchen experience in healthcare or full-service settings is required, with sanitation certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Previous full-service kitchen experience in healthcare or restaurants.
• Sanitation/Sanitation Certification preferred or willing to obtain after job acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare meals per menu cycles prepared by the Registered Dietitian.
• Cook or prepare meals in batches to ensure freshness and proper temperatures.
• Assist with training servers on preparations, garnishing and presentation.
• Supervise servers with food preparation, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
