Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests in an Indiana community. You will follow menus and recipes, plate dishes, and assist other kitchen staff while preserving quality and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of line cook experience, and strong communication. Shifts include 6am–2pm and 11am–7pm in a resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or technical schooling.
• Minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Ensure freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Promote positive relations with residents, families, and guests.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
