Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Corps in Arnold, Missouri is seeking a part-time Caseworker to provide intake, assessment, and ESS assistance to clients in need. The role supports food, utility, rent, and other basic needs, working with local agencies and maintaining records.

Position is 20–24 hours per week with pay ranging $16.00–$17.00 per hour. Applicants should have an associates degree in human services and relevant experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in human services and two years related work experience with some supervisory experience.
• Outgoing personality with good communication and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Knowledge of Salvation Army and government resources is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and outreach emergency assistance to clients.
• Perform intake and assessment to determine eligibility and match resources.
• Distribute food, vouchers, and checks; refer to other agencies if needed.
• Identify local resources and maintain a community resource guide.
• Liaise between clients, The Salvation Army and other agencies.
• Record client information and maintain confidentiality.
• Record statistics and prepare timely reports.
• Manage ESS funding and in-kind gifts per guidelines.
• Maintain the food pantry and stock resources.
• Direct and supervise pantry volunteers.
