Job summary

The Salvation Army Midland Division Corps in Arnold, Missouri is seeking a part-time Caseworker to provide intake, assessment, and ESS assistance to individuals in need. The role includes distributing food and vouchers, coordinating referrals, and maintaining records.

The position offers on-site work at 20–24 hours per week. Starting pay is $16.00 to $17.00 per hour, with the organization emphasizing network partnerships, volunteer supervision, and adherence to spending guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in human services with two years related work experience (or combination of education and experience).
• Outgoing personality with good communication skills and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License; pass TSA MVR check.
• Working knowledge of computers; ability to document records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site intake and assessment to determine client eligibility for ESS assistance.
• Distribute food, vouchers, and checks to clients and refer to other agencies when needed.
• Maintain a current community resource guide and inform clients about available resources.
• Network with community agencies to maximize service delivery and coordinate referrals.
• Record client information and statistics accurately; ensure confidentiality.
• Supervise volunteers and manage food pantry operations and stock.
