Job summary

MassBay Community College — Assistant Esports Coach in Wellesley Hills assists the head coach with supervising and developing the varsity esports team, including in-season and off-season programming aligned with athletic objectives.

The role is part-time, non-unit, supporting practices, scheduling, facilities and livestream production (OBS, Twitch), and promoting events across MassBay platforms while upholding inclusive conduct and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in gaming/esports required.
• Preferred: experience in a community college environment and recruiting.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of esports practices, matches, and tournaments.
• Assist with scheduling, communication, and logistics for MassBay esports team events and activities.
• Help manage esports facilities, equipment, and game platforms (PCs/consoles).
• Contribute to livestream production of matches (OBS, Twitch) and related broadcasts.
• Assist with social media content and promoting esports events on MassBay platforms.
• Track participation metrics, match results, and program outcomes.
• Provide general administrative support to the Esports Program Coach and Athletic Department.
• Represent the MassBay esports program professionally and inclusively.
