The ideal candidate will work with the head coach to recruit, train and guide players, ensure compliance with league rules, and attend practices and games while supporting the College's mission to foster educational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching basketball at a competitive level.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in establishing team goals for season and ensure alignment with MassBay Athletic program.
• Recruit and train eligible players, organize and supervise all aspects of the team sport; attend practices and games.
• Knowledge of league rules and best practices for sport techniques, rules and regulations.
• Communicate daily with Assistant Director of Athletics regarding season progression, practices, game results, and player eligibility.
• Distribute and collect all team equipment to players during the season.
• Represent the university and team at athletic events (competitions, conferences, etc.).
• Assist with game day setup and breakdown.
• Other duties as assigned.
