Job summary

Keene State College is seeking an Esports Assistant Coach to support the Head Esports Coach in administration, development, and competitive success of the program. The role includes coaching practices, player development, recruiting, and student-athlete support in a positive environment.

Flexibility allows on-campus, remote, or hybrid work. Evening/weekend availability is expected; compensation is $10/hour with opportunities to contribute across multiple esports titles and activities.

Qualifications

• Experience playing or coaching competitive esports.
• Strong knowledge of at least one esports title.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor college-aged student-athletes remotely.
• Reliable access to technology and internet when remote work.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Commitment to academic success, sportsmanship, inclusion, and student-athlete development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with planning and conducting practices, training, and competitions.
• Provide instruction and feedback on gameplay, strategy, teamwork, and performance.
• Participate in virtual practices, team meetings, and VOD reviews.
• Review gameplay to identify areas for improvement.
• Help develop individual and team training plans.
• Support recruiting through visits, tournaments, and virtual recruiting.
• Maintain team records, schedules, and scouting reports.
• Promote the program and increase visibility.
