Job summary

MassBay Community College in Wellesley Hills, MA seeks an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach for a part-time, no-benefits role. You will assist the head coach in goal setting, recruiting, and supervising the varsity program within athletic rules.

You will work closely with the Athletics department to coordinate practices, games, and player eligibility while representing the college at events and supporting game-day operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience coaching basketball at a competitive level.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in establishing team goals for the season and align with MassBay Athletic program.
• Recruit and train eligible players, organize and supervise all aspects of the team, attend practices and games.
• Ensure adherence to league rules and best practices for sport techniques and regulations.
• Communicate season progression with the Athletics leadership including practices, game results, and player eligibility.
• Distribute and collect team equipment; represent MassBay at athletic events and open houses.
• Assist with game-day setup and breakdown; perform other duties as assigned.
