Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Part-Time Instructor in Engineering Technology to teach at North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Western Campuses. Courses include Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, and Technical Physics, with in-person/online formats and day/evening/weekend scheduling.

The role involves lecturing, developing syllabi, evaluating student mastery, and advising. A qualifying Applied Science degree is required; a Bachelor's degree and teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of work-related experience
• Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University preferred
• 1 year full time teaching experience preferred
• Experience with diverse/multicultural student body and Canvas or other LMS preferred

Responsibilities

• Lecture and/or Lab instruction for Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, and/or Technical Physics courses
• Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and safety precautions
• Develop syllabi and course materials; instruct per curriculum standards and objectives
• Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
• Provide advisement to students
• Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested
