Job summary

CSN in the North Las Vegas Campus area seeks a part-time Automotive Technology Instructor to deliver lecture and lab instruction from introductory to advanced diagnostics. Responsibilities include lab safety training, evaluating student mastery, advising students, and possible curriculum development, with classes scheduled day, evening and weekend. Exempt position, 25.0% FTE.

Salary is paid per lecture credit hour. Applications window closes 06/30/2027.

Qualifications

• Current ASE certifications required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and Lab instruction for Automotive courses.
• Courses range from Introduction to Automotive Maintenance to Advanced Diagnostics.
• Provide Lab Safety Training.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide advisement to students.
• Some program and/or curriculum development may be requested.
• Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.
• Automotive courses taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person and scheduled day, evening, and weekend.
