Job summary

Lyndon Institute is seeking an adjunct instructor to support the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering CTE program in Lyndon Center, VT. This part-time role delivers hands-on instruction in machining, 3D printing, engineering design, software, and robotics, mentoring students toward real-world manufacturing careers.

The instructor will collaborate with the full-time Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering teacher and staff to create project-based learning, assess progress, and integrate Lean

Qualifications

  • Teaching License preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Practical experience in engineering, manufacturing, machining, or related field.
  • Ability to safely operate and teach machining equipment, CNC machinery, 3D printers, and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, robotics, materials science, or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and experiential, hands-on learning.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in applied engineering and design coursework.
  • Teach concepts related to engineering design, based on the instructor's expertise.
  • Design and facilitate project-based learning experiences promoting creativity and critical thinking.
  • Integrate Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement into classroom instruction.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to support student growth.
