Job summary

Lyndon Institute in Lyndon Center, VT seeks an adjunct instructor to teach CAD in our Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering program. This part-time role delivers hands-on CAD instruction in a manufacturing setting.

The instructor will train students using Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor, delivering project-based learning aligned with industry practices. The class runs Monday–Friday, 70 minutes per day, per semester.

Qualifications

• Teaching license is preferred but not required.
• Background check must be passed.
• Practical experience in engineering and CAD.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
• Prior teaching, training, or mentoring is a plus.
• Bachelor's in engineering, manufacturing, robotics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach CAD concepts based on instructor's expertise.
• Guide students in using Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
• Design project-based learning experiences.
• Integrate lean manufacturing and continuous improvement into instruction.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with department staff and administration.
