Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno's College of Engineering invites applications for a part-time Letter of Appointment position in the Engineering Career Services Office. This role will assist the Director of Engineering Career Services with student career development, internship and post-graduate data collection, and operation of a new job board platform exclusive to the College of Engineering.

Occasionally, hours outside regular business hours may be required around career services events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills, professionalism, and be detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with communicating via telephone, email or in-person with students or professionals.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Microsoft Access and social media/tools such as Constant Contact, Doodle, Facebook, and LinkedIn preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support student career development initiatives.
• Collect internship and post-graduation outcomes data and help operate a new exclusive job board for the College of Engineering.
• Maintain the ECS employer database and coordinate logistics for the biannual Engineering Career Fair.
• Market career services opportunities to students and employers.
