Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) invites applications for a part-time Letter of Appointment (LOA) position in the Engineering Career Services Office. The role supports the Director of Engineering Career Services with student career development and related tasks.

Occasionally, hours may extend beyond normal business times to support campus career events. This LOA role offers hands-on experience in career services within a leading engineering college.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills, professionalism, and be detail-oriented.
• Comfortable communicating via telephone, email or in-person with students or professionals.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Student career development
• Collecting internship and job-upon-graduation outcomes data, and coordination of a new job board platform exclusive to the College of Engineering.
• Help maintain the ECS employer database, with logistics for the biannual Engineering Career Fair, with marketing various career services opportunities/events to students and employers
• Other miscellaneous tasks
