Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• Must be a licensed Ohio Paramedic.
• Ohio licensed Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I or II.
• ACLS and CPR instructor credentials or willingness to obtain.
• Two years of paramedic patient care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the EMS department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections.
• Employ appropriate teaching strategies and use instructional technology.
• Modify methods to meet diverse student needs and support success.
• Evaluate student work promptly and maintain records.
• Submit final grades by deadlines and protect confidentiality.
• Demonstrate commitment to using innovative teaching practices.
