Nestucca Valley School District in Oregon is seeking a District ELL Instructional Assistant to support English Language Learners and assist licensed staff with targeted instruction in small groups and one-on-one settings.

Qualifications

Associate degree (or higher) with coursework in education preferred.
High school diploma or GED with passing assessment required.
Experience working with language minority students and child development knowledge.
Bilingual proficiency and ability to work with diverse students and staff.

Responsibilities

Assist in instruction of English Language Learners in small groups or one-on-one.
Prepare instructional materials and follow licensed teacher direction.
Conduct clerical tasks using basic office equipment and classroom software.
Maintain student safety and monitor behavior across settings.
Communicate with students, parents and staff from diverse backgrounds.
