Job summary

County of Hawai‘i seeks a part-time Elderly Services coordinator to supervise outreach and information referral activities for seniors in Puna. You will coordinate in-home and meal services, assist with referrals, and ensure timely follow-ups and records maintenance.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and two years of experience in elderly information/referral work. A valid Hawaii driver’s license is required and certification may be needed before probation completion.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and two years of experience providing information, referral, and outreach assistance to the elderly (55+).
• Knowledge of County, State, and Federal agencies; community resources and their utilization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in surveys to determine service needs for target groups.
• Coordinate in-home, transportation, escort, and meal services as needed.
• Make referrals for social, health, recreational, and other support services.
