County of Hawai‘i seeks a part-time Elderly Services coordinator to supervise outreach and information referral activities for seniors in Puna. You will coordinate in-home and meal services, assist with referrals, and ensure timely follow-ups and records maintenance.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and two years of experience in elderly information/referral work. A valid Hawaii driver’s license is required and certification may be needed before probation completion.
Supervises and participates in information, referral, outreach, and other support services to the elderly and other designated target groups or independently provides information, referral, outreach, and other support services to the elderly and other designated target groups at assigned geographical sites without any direct supervision; and performs other related duties as required.
There is one (1) immediate permanent part-time vacancy with the Department of Parks and Recreation - Elderly Activities Division in Puna.
The eligible list may be used for other permanent and temporary vacancies as they arise during the life of the list. Salary will be pro-rated for part-time positions. Temporary appointment may lead to conversion to permanent appointment.
A combination of education and experience substantially equivalent to:
Possession of a current American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification or other current equivalent certificates is required, prior to completion of probation.
