Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking a part-time instructional assistant for a 3.75 hour daily schedule (8:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.), Mon-Fri. The role supports teachers with clerical tasks, tutoring, and classroom materials prep to ensure smooth instructional delivery.

Documentation to prove Highly Qualified status under ORS 581-037-0006 must be attached to the application; a resume alone is not sufficient. Applicants may be required to provide transcripts or diplomas as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Requires Highly Qualified status with documentation attached.
• Two years post-secondary study or an associates degree.
• Associates degree or higher qualifies; transcripts required.
• Bilingual proficiency and multicultural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical tasks in support of the educational process and assist the teacher.
• Attend to details to free the teacher for lesson planning; tutor students needing emphasis.
• Prepare, disseminate, collect, process and store instructional materials.
• Adapt curriculum for students with limited English proficiency.
• Assist in health room and supervise lunchroom, hallways, and recess.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and complete purchase orders.
• Attend to attendance/registration tasks and classroom files.
