Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking a part-time instructional aide for a 0.875 FTE schedule (7 hours/day, 8:15am-3:45pm, Monday–Friday) on a 192-day schedule. HQ documentation must accompany applications, including transcripts or diplomas and meeting testing standards.

Experience with Synergy and attendance data entry is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus. Typical duties include clerical support for lessons, assisting teachers, tutoring students, preparing instructional materials, and

Qualifications

• Documentation to show HQ status must be attached to the application.
• Official transcripts or diploma required for HQ.
• HQ criteria include testing or demonstrated knowledge in reading/writing/mathematics.
• Bilingual proficiency and/or multicultural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confer with teacher and assist in lesson prep; review coverage and comprehension; administer tests.
• Monitor and supervise students; record progress and behavior.
• Collect, sort, and correct lessons and tests; manage grade ledger.
• Tutor individually or in small groups; assign extra work and assist in remediation.
• Prepare and format classroom materials; assist in distributing instructional content.
• Assist health room duties as needed; respond to minor injuries and emergencies.
• Maintain inventory of supplies; process purchase orders and stock shelves.
• May handle attendance/registration tasks such as roll call and attendance roster.
