Job summary

The Eugene School District 4J is seeking an instructional assistant to support teachers in planning and implementing educational and behavioral plans for students with developmental or other learning disabilities.

The position is part-time (0.625 FTE), 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday on the CL-192 schedule (192 days per full year), from 8:15am to 3:15pm, with duties including clerical tasks, lesson support, monitoring progress, inventory, and after-hours counseling as needed.

Qualifications

• HQ requirements to meet Highly Qualified status as defined by Oregon law.

• Documentation options include transcripts, diploma, or test scores.

Responsibilities

• Confer with teacher and assist in lesson prep and delivery; monitor progress and grades.
• Assist in planning and implementing educational and behavioral plans.
• Provide clerical support and prepare materials; update displays and materials as needed.
• Monitor student behavior and safety; support individual or small group tutoring.
• Supervise students in various settings and help with transitions and routines.
• Occasionally assist with inventory, budgeting, and materials procurement.
