Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado for a part-time role (30 hours) with 10-hour days and on-call shifts. The position involves performing diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under a physician's direction, designed for recent graduates or entrants to the field.

You will support the clinical team, document findings, coordinate exams, mentor students, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department exam protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule ultrasound exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare patients and educate them on procedure; ensure safety and comfort.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Document exam results and maintain patient records.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Participate in quality improvement processes and initiatives.
