Job summary

Catapult Learning, Inc. is seeking an Early Literacy Tutor (Part-Time) in South Hadley, MA. You will provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing, serving students at partner schools.

The role emphasizes advocacy for students, collaboration with school staff, and communicating progress to families. Compensation is $35–$36 per hour, with professional development support and instructional toolkits provided.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree (or higher) or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours).
• Licensed tutors: teachers with credentials recognized by the State as properly licensed.
• Tutors must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Unwavering belief that all children can learn.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate progress with parents and provide information on student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods per Company guidance.
• Attend training sessions and implement designated instructional models for reading, math, and writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Supervise students and escort to sessions as needed.
• Maintain student forms and files as required by authorities.
• Attend and document meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
