Job summary

Armed Services YMCA in Twentynine Palms, CA is hiring a part-time Operation Little Learners Program Facilitator to design and implement daily curriculum for children aged 6 months to 5 years while parents participate.

The role also facilitates our Wiggle Room classes (ages 6 months-24 months) and requires an Associate degree, CPR/First Aid within 15 days, and availability M-Th 8:00am–2:00pm, with some evenings and weekends possible.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months beginner experience working with children ages 6 months through 5 years is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within 15 days of hire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficient in writing reports and lesson plans.
• Able to identify and respond properly to various childcare situations (e.g., illness, abuse).
• Able to work after school hours.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement daily curriculum/lesson plans for program participants.
• Interact with children using appropriate preschool aged development techniques.
• Log daily attendance and submit at the end of each week.
• Shadow experienced facilitators at ASYMCA branches.
• Maintain a healthy classroom environment and ensure safety and cleanliness.
