Job summary

Wildorado ISD in Wildorado, Texas seeks a Dyslexia Sped/ELAR Teacher for a part-time role to provide targeted instruction to students with dyslexia and support their literacy development in ELAR.

You will deliver individualized and small group instruction, monitor progress, collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff and families on IEPs and 504 plans, and share best practices through staff development.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification with a specialization in dyslexia intervention or related area.
• Experience with students with dyslexia or learning disabilities; knowledge of evidence-based literacy instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individualized and small group instruction for students with dyslexia.
• Utilize specialized teaching methods to support literacy in reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Monitor and assess student progress; adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to implement IEPs and 504 plans.
• Provide professional development and support to educators on dyslexia best practices.
• Create a positive classroom environment that fosters a love for reading.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
• Participate in staff meetings and school events.
• Stay informed about advances in dyslexia education and literacy instruction.
