Job summary

Wildorado ISD is seeking a dedicated Dyslexia Teacher for a part-time role to support ELAR literacy through evidence-based methods and individualized instruction.

You will collaborate with teachers to develop IEPs/504 plans, monitor progress, and share strategies with staff and families in a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education and certified dyslexia specialization, with a commitment to equity and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
• Valid teaching certification with a specialization in dyslexia intervention
• Experience with students with dyslexia or learning disabilities
• Knowledge of evidence-based literacy strategies

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individualized and small group instruction for students with dyslexia
• Utilize specialized teaching methodologies to support literacy development
• Monitor and assess progress and adjust instructional strategies
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to implement IEPs and 504 plans
• Provide professional development and support to educators on dyslexia best practices
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment that fosters reading love
• Maintain records of progress, attendance, and behavior
• Participate in staff meetings and school events
• Stay informed about current dyslexia education research
