Northwest Independent School District in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Sped Dyslexia Interventionist to provide dyslexia remediation and support for students with dyslexia and related disorders. The role involves assessment, MDT collaboration, and attending ARD/504 meetings as part of the assigned campus team.

The position requires a Texas Teaching Certificate and 3+ years in ELA or Special Education; Master’s degree preferred and Dyslexia certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate is required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Certified Academic Language Therapist or Practitioner - Preferred.
• Special Education Supplemental Certification - required.
• 3 years minimum classroom teaching experience in ELA and/or Special Education preferred.
• Understanding of Science of Reading and dyslexia interventions.

Responsabilités

• Provide dyslexia remediation to students with dyslexia and related disorders.
• Assist campuses in assessment and identification of dyslexia and participate in ARD/504 meetings.
• Provide progress monitoring data and classroom support.
• Coordinate and implement the Dyslexia Program with fidelity across campuses if needed.
• Communicate with teachers, support personnel and administrators.
• Attend required training and professional development sessions.
• Administer dyslexia testing and interpret data as appropriate.
