Job summary

Spring Arbor Senior Living in Cary, NC is hiring a Part-Time Driver to join our Assisted Living team. You will transport residents according to an established schedule, assist them in and out of vehicles, and maintain transportation records with accuracy.

We're seeking patient, friendly individuals with a valid driver's license and a good driving record who enjoy helping seniors maintain independence. Prior driving experience is preferred, and a positive attitude is essential for daily

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Previous driving experience.
• Patience and a genuine desire to work with seniors.
• A pleasant, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times.
• Ability to learn tasks and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents according to an established schedule.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles, using the wheelchair lift as needed.
• Accurately maintain required transportation records and logs.
• Maintain the vehicle as needed — fill with gas, keep clean, and notify the Maintenance Director of any problems or needed repairs.
• Collect, clean, and distribute residents' linens in a timely, organized manner.
• Occasionally clean, dust, vacuum, empty trash, and wash windows in resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Handle, process, and store linens and resident clothing properly to help control the spread of infection or disease.
