Spring Arbor Senior Living in Cary, NC is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and companionship to Assisted Living residents. Under the guidance of the Resident Services Director, you will help create a warm, safe environment while supporting daily activities and care plans.

The role requires 1+ year healthcare experience, HS diploma, and a willingness to pass a background check; dementia training may be required for Ensemble communities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of related healthcare experience required.
• Dementia training completion (required for Ensemble Program communities).
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening.
• Workplace requires adherence to drug-free policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and medication reminders.
• Maintain accurate records and resident service plans; document care provided.
• Ensure service plans are followed for personalized, consistent care.
• Communicate with Resident Services team to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Support daily programming and neighborhood operations.

Spring Arbor of Rocky Mount is looking for a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands‑on care and support to our Assisted Living residents. Under the guidance of our Resident Services Director, you'll help create a warm, safe, and positive environment for the people who call our community home.

What You'll Do

• Approach every interaction with residents and fellow associates in a friendly, service-oriented way
• Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, medication reminders, and incontinence care
• Maintain accurate records, including resident service plans and documentation of care provided
• Stay familiar with each resident's service plan to ensure personalized, consistent care
• Communicate closely with the Resident Services team for seamless continuity of care
• Help promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors
• Support the day-to-day programming and operations of the neighborhood

What You Bring

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of related health care experience
• Dementia training completion (required for communities with an Ensemble Program)
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening

Nice to Have

• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or as required by your state)

The primary responsibility of the Resident Assistant is to provide resident care services, as scheduled, under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RSD) in Assisted Living areas, maintaining a positive physical and social environment.

Areas of Responsibility

• Approach all encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, medicinal reminders, and incontinence care.
• Keep proper records of care including a resident service plan and documenting services provided.
• Be familiar with resident service plan and document all service provided.
• Work closely and maintain daily communications with the Resident Services associates so that a continuity of care and services is maintained for the residents.
• Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
• Support the programming and operations of the neighborhood.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year related health care experience required.
• In any Community with an Ensemble Program, applicant must successfully complete required dementia training.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the state.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) depending on the state requirements, if licensed or certified must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
