Job summary

Krapf Group is seeking a part-time Dispatch position in New Jersey to coordinate trips, monitor driver communications, and schedule drivers in compliance with state and federal regulations. The role may require a flexible schedule, including Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with opportunities to support field operations and affect on-time performance.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a dynamic dispatch environment preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record, criminal history record and child abuse history record.
• Maintain valid driver’s license, physical exam certifications.
• Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks during peak hours and remain calm and supportive of drivers.
• Positive attitude and flexible scheduling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot and exercise good judgment.
• Average typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Krapf vision and mission in all activities.
• Accept and demonstrate the Krapf Core Values of commitment, open communication, respect and excellent service.
• Represent Krapf in a professional, business-like manner.
• Comply with all Company policies and safety procedures.
• Monitor driver radio communications and provide updates.
• Prepare and review driver schedules and assign drivers.
• Verify driver schedules and timesheets reflect work completed.
• Interact with personnel regarding equipment, driver hours, and customer issues.
• Respond calmly and professionally to issues; maintain composure.
• Troubleshoot driver performance issues and report to Operations Manager.
• Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the shop to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager and other dispatchers to meet objectives.
• Control costs by monitoring driver hours.
• Handle situations professionally and non-confrontationally.
• Other duties as assigned.
