Job summary

Florida OMFS in Boca Raton is seeking a friendly dental assistant to join our team. This part-time role supports doctors with charting, patient education, operatory setup, and patient flow in a fast-paced office.

Hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 7:45-4:30 with a half-hour lunch, and every other Friday, 7:45-3:30. A positive personality, strong customer service, and reliability are essential; Dental Assisting certificate and Radiology license preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; Dental Assisting Certificate preferred.
• Radiology license preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of job experience; Oral surgery experience is a plus.
• Background check required.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides chair-side clinical support including charting, patient education, operatory setup and cleanup.
• Manages patient flow and updates doctors on patient status.
• Greets patients and provides personal introductions.
• Takes and processes X-rays.
• Performs patient hand-offs.
• Updates patient treatment plans in the system as directed by the doctor.
• Ensures visits meet expectations and escalates as needed.
• Escorts patients to checkout.
• Completes sterilization of equipment and operatory.
• Monitors and prepares lab cases for next day.
• Maintains emergency kits, medications, and oxygen supplies.
• Follows OSHA, HIPAA, CPR and safety requirements.
• Supports supervisor with other duties.
