Job summary

Modern Dental Smiles in Boynton Beach seeks a reliable Dental Assistant to join our doctor-owned practice. You will greet patients, assist during procedures, and ensure sterile operatories in a friendly, patient-focused environment.

We offer full-time hours, a supportive team, and benefits including health, dental and vision coverage, plus PTO. Must graduate from an accredited Dental Assisting program and hold Florida radiography certification; Dentrix experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program / Dental Assistant School (required).
• Valid Florida Dental Radiography certification (or EFDA).
• Friendly, cheerful personality with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, self-motivation, and a desire to learn and take instruction well.
• Experience with Dentrix (or general dental software) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Comfort: Greet patients warmly, walk them to operatories, answer general dental questions, and ensure comfort before and during procedures.
• Chairside Assisting: Assist doctors through standard 4-handed dentistry across general restorative care and routine exams.
• Sterilization & Room Setup: Prepare operatories, set up dental instruments, and sterilize equipment according to health and safety regulations.
• X-rays & Impressions: Take clear digital dental X-rays and assist with basic impressions or tray setups.
• Operatory Maintenance: Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
