Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant in Boca Raton to support doctors with chair-side procedures, patient education, X-rays, and efficient operatory flow.

You will engage with patients, help manage treatment plans, and ensure a smooth daily schedule. The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced office.

Qualifications

• Education Level: High School or diploma, or GED. Dental Assisting Certificate and Radiology License preferred.
• Job-Related/Industry Experience: Minimum 1-year job experience. Oral surgery experience is a plus!
• Background check required.
• Bilingual is a plus but not required.
• Physical Requirements: Mostly walking, talking, standing, and updating information in computer systems.
• A GREAT PERSONALITY!

Responsibilities

• Provides superior chair-side clinical support and assistance to doctors, including charting, patient education, operatory set-up and clean-up.
• Manages patient flow and updates Doctors on patient status.
• Welcomes patients in the reception area with a personal introduction.
• Takes and processes X-rays.
• Performs patient hand-offs.
• Updates patient treatment plans in the company system per Doctor directions.
• Ensures visits meet expectations and escalates as needed.
• Escorts patients to check-out and assists with sterilization and equipment maintenance.
